Backyard Clothesline

I must confess I've wanted
a clothesline
since we first got married.

Now, eleven years later,
I finally have one.
My sweet hubby got me one for our anniversary!

First thing I had to do was make a cute
little bag to keep my clothespins in....
so I whipped up this little cutie
on my sewing machine
with one of the girl's clothing hangers.

Then ... we had to install it in concrete
and the girls and I couldn't leave
the concrete circle
plain jane ... so we
gave it a little backyard bling.

The finished product in all it's glory.

Now I need some cute towels!

I want a clothesline! Maybe I'll get one for my anniversary. Your clothespin bag is a great idea, and I love that you and your girls blinged up the concrete circle.

Happy Anniversary!

I'd love a clothesline sometime too! I have the pins, just no line, lol! :)

Happy 11 years!

Your clothespins bag is really pretty and I love how you decorated the concrete for your clothesline :)

How cute! My hubby and I want a clothesline in the backyard too. Haven't gotten around to getting one yet. It's funny how some of the best gifts are such simple ones! One time, my husband came home from work and said, "I got you a present..." He came in holding a little styrofoam container, which I knew could only hold one thing... worms! I was so excited that he got me worms for my garden! Yeah... it doesn't take much to make me happy. :)

Ummm.... what did y'all use before?

Pretty much every house I've ever seen here has had a clothesline lol... But we DID invent it after all... ;)

Enjoy it, and happy anniversary!!

Very nice! I like the bling! We have a clothesline a lot like that, and it makes me very happy. I love having the quiet time while I hang my clothes, and love that I save money in the process!

Would you believe that a clothesline is actually not allowed in my neighborhood? It's just plain wrong, I know.

Congrats on your clothesline, we LOVE ours around here even though it's just a line strung between two trees. I took this photo of my daughter's artwork hanging on our line, it looks so beautiful drying in the breeze: http://rcherill.blogspot.com/2009/07/paint.html
