My preschooler has mastered her basic colors.
Thanks in part to this
adorable color matching game
her sweet big sister made for her.
She made a basic color wheel on a paper plate
with bits of construction paper. (she put the grommet in the middle
just in case we wanted to add a spinner later)
I helped her wrap the clothespins with colored masking tape.
We colored the bottom half of them with sharpie markers.
It's a big hit on our Montessori shelf.
Now I'm ready to move on to more complex colors
like turquoise, scarlet, and vermillion!

this is awesome, ml! when i saw the thumbnail version of the pic, i thought it was a really cool mosaic turtle... which i bet it could morph into!
Pretty! And so simple. I love it. Now where to get the colored tape? The hardware store, probably--electronics area?
Thanks!!
The colored tape is from Oriental Trading Company. It's their colored masking tape set we use it ALL the time!! Cheaper than the electronics tape.
Fondly,
MaryLea (pink and green mama)

Thanks!
Love it! I can't wait to see her vermillion project, lol! What a wonderful big sister!
Darling idea. Love the bright and simple colors.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you, but when I copied your button and then tested it, it did not come back to your site. I looked at the html, and there is, at end of your link, an added _blank.
If you remove that from the code, the button will come back to your site.
Hope you enjoy your visits from the Horde this week!
stopping by from Mrs. B.'s! great place you got here! so creative!!
enjoy your weekend!
That is great. You are so creative. I stopped by to say hi, from Mrs B's
Have a great week. I will be back. I love art!
Very creative! I didn't do my first color wheel until I was in my early 40s! Your kids are so lucky to have art in their world at such an early age.
That is such an awesome idea! I would love to do that with my son. Thanks for sharing it with us.
