Kid's Art: First Drawing

The Mini-Saurus
made her first (recognizable)
representational drawing last week!

A big first art milestone!
Her mama was so proud.

Of course she did it on her magna-doodle
so I had to snap a photo for her scrapbook.

Is it a portrait of Mommy?
No.

Is it a drawing of you?
No.

Is it a drawing of your Sister?
No.

Of course it is...
Should I laugh or cry?!

Miss Punk has a magnadoodle whatsit too - but it's not blue like yours.... it's.... it's.... Spongebob squarepants! (And Patrick...)

*cue spooky music* lol

Ohhh, of COURSE it's Spongebob! That's what I thought the moment I saw it. LOL Big Spongebob fans here... Well, my son and I. The hubby? Not so much. Heh.

Great job, Mini Saurus!

I found your blog through our "In the Fish Bowl" class. Your blog is awesome! I can't wait to sift through it. I'm also 33 and a mom to a toddler boy.

Hello from another fish bowl swimmer and fellow Virginian :)

That's hilarious! I loooved (love?) magnadoodles. They're so much fun, though I think I mostly draw Sponge Bob too.

this must be a phenomenon... why is it that the magna doodle inspires the first people drawing? novi did the same thing a few weeks ago on hers, and i've found myself taking oodles of magna doodle photos lately. (see our personal family site under sept for photos. haha.) then, just the morning, i actually captured a person on paper!!! hooray!

This post made me smile. So cute! She did a great job, why do our kids love Spongebob so much. My 8 year old is obsessed with him!

Both my girls first started drawing on things like that. I can't remember my first, but I know I got a photo of my 2nds first drawing. Such a fun milestone!
