What a perfect craft activity
(craft-tivity)
for a cold winter day,
Waldorf Window Stars!
The Frog Princess is at home (sick)
from school today,
so we spent Mini-Saurus' nap time
folding star points
with kite paper
My own (awesome artist) mama ordered it for me
(go to their site and it will become
one of your favorites,
I promise!)
Rainbow-y Goodness!
Oh kite paper, how I love thee...
The Frog Princess said that
staying home with me
and folding stars
is more fun than doing math at school...
I agree.
I would rather eat pancakes for lunch,
play legos,
and fold rainbow stars
with my sweet little girls
any day.

Hi, elif writing from Turkey
as a mom to a 2-yr old to be daughter, I loved your blog. Thanks for sharing, I cant wait to make some of the items you have posted, so lovely!! :)
so pretty - hooray for rainbows! we adore palumba over here, too!
I loved the pics of your little girl crafting in her jammies and I loved the drive over to Garden Mama's blog. A double blessing from Pink and Green Mama today!
Oh! These are beautiful - especially with the sun shining through. I hope your frog princess feels better soon, although it's probably pretty fun to have her home, too!
These are beautiful! We just made a bunch of these over the weekend. Perfect way to brighten up these winter days. :)
Craftivity! LOVE that!! I'm going to look at kite paper now, thanks!
thanks for stopping by on my SITS day! Love that you are passing the love of crafting on! Nothing makes me happier than when my daughter is sewing or knitting beside me!
Those stars are gorgeous. What a perfect pick-me-up for your sick little Frog Princess. They make me smile just looking at them.
I am drooling over your fairy berry houses. They are adorable. I bought my little girl a strawberry shortcake doll for Christmas. Soon as I saw it, it reminded me of my own collection I had. It is such a delight to be able to see my daughter get so much pleasure out of some of the same characters that I also used to love when I was younger. I still love the smell of Strawberry shortcake!
I spent the 13th making these too! It was my birthday and we were snowed in with no school - I used gardenmamas fantastic tutorial and we all agreed it was much better than school - parallel lives across the world! :D
I love those they are beautiful!
Beautiful stars! Your blog always gets my creative juices flowing . . . thanks!
Oh, I definitely need to purchase these things. Autumn would LOVE this activity. They're so pretty!
I was wondering where do you find kite paper?
Hello Anonymous!
I ordered my kite paper from the Palumba catalog/website.

Is there a difference between Kite Paper and Tissue Paper? If there is, do you think that tissue paper would work for making these?
Thanks!
Amber
@ Amber,
Kite paper is a bit waxier and heavier than tissue paper, a bit like waxed paper but colored. I think you COULD use tissue paper but it will be very delicate and might do best if you laminate it afterwards.
I buy my kite paper from Palumba.

*sigh*
These are SO beautiful :)
We must make some.
