Ideas for Some Artsy Family Fun In The Sun

1. Take a walk with your kids, make shadows on the sidewalk.
Trace your shadows with chalk, or let your child have a turn with the camera
and take some fun family portraits.

2. Get some Solar Paper and make sun prints with your kids.
Our plastic bugs made nifty shadows -- "developing" our solar paper in water.

3. Whip up a batch of Cornstarch Sidewalk Paint
and unleash your inner sidewalk grafitti artist on the neighborhood.

4. Harness the power of the sun and melt some crayon bits and nubbins
into up-cycled crayons!

Let the sun do the cooking for you!

6. Solar Night Lights!
Charge in the sun and bring inside for some evening fun

Don't forget to wear a sun hat and some sun block!

Fondly,
pink and green mama

Okay the shadow idea is great and to actually take a picture of it is even better. I'm going on my 5 mile walk on saturday with my son and you just might see a post on my blog of our shadows!

As always - you have such great ideas! We have the solar paper - so that is certainly on our list. And I think I may try melting the crayon bits in our solar oven. It will be an experiment!

Great ideas! I like the one about tracing your shadows the most, I think. My girls would love that.
