Thanks for sharing. We did ours this way last year too, and I'm so excited to do it again this year. I haven't finalized our list yet, but I might take an idea or two from you. Happy Advent-ing!

We are doing this with my girls this year too. We did this every single year growing up...I loved picking the Christmas "note" with my brothers and spending special time together. One of my favorites was when my mom gave us each the end of a roll of yarn and we had to follow it all over the house to get to our prize (an ornament I think). Ther was lots of laughter as we went into the bathtub and under beds! :) I know my mom must have been tired, but she was always so cheerful about it and created some treasured memories.

I love the idea of a different activity each day. What a great list. (Making fashion clothes out of pre-loved wrapping paper, made me smile!)

Thanks for including your ideas. You can find a million tutorials for advent calendars but hardly anyone gives list suggestions of what to put in the calendar, other then candy.

I love doing activities - it makes the time more memorable and everything feels more organized.

Oooo... I love your ideas too. Candle lit bath sounds esp appealing for my waterloving 3 yr old. <3
