This is "Rosie" the Cat.
She is "C"s #1 Lovey right now. Can you tell?
She's a very well-loved little pink kitty.
"Rosie" was accidentally left behind
at Grammy and Grandpa's house
at Christmas.
Grandpa drove her out to our house the next morning
(in a snow storm) to deliver her safely to her rightful three-year-old owner.
She arrived tucked in his coat front pocket.
"C" squealed when she saw that!
This is what was waiting for their arrival
in the playroom that morning.
"E" wrote the words and "C" drew the Pink Cat.
The girls decided to host a Welcome Home Tea Party
for Rosie with her whole cat family.
Pink and Red Jelly Beans
(strawberry and cherry flavors)
and Smarties were served.
Nightgowns and Pajamas were the required morning party attire!
Rosie Cat even had a
tiny homemade pink tiara
waiting for her.
More kitty parties are around the corner...
someone special is about to celebrate
her 4th birthday with a kitty theme!
Fondly,
pink and green mama,

So sweet :)
Love this! My 3 year old has a pink kitty that looks like it is loved just as much. She wants a kitty birthday party...maybe we should include tea!
Hi MaryLea! I've been following your wonderful blog for sometime now, finding fun, colourful ideas to do with my kids - when I read this post about the lost cat, it just brought back so many fond memories of when my older two were aged 6 and 3, and loved loved their cats , in the way that yours do now - and when we moved from the US to Sweden, and my daughter left behind her dear kitty cat.... (later posted on by our friends). How lovely to 'experience' that sweet kitty cat play once again - and to hear that someone else is having a kitty cat themed birthday party too (our daughter had one last year). Thank you for sharing your wonderful blog! xxx Sasha at www.squashedtomatoes.wordpress.com

Your daughters are just too adorable!
My four year old has a cat that's very well loved too. :-)
So adorable! This reminds me of the Kitty Cat tea party we had for my daughter's 6th birthday. I bought lots of beanie baby cats on ebay and each guest "adopted" one when she arrived. We made cat toys (dowels with feathers taped to the end), gave the cats vet check-ups, made beaded collars for them, etc. Then we all sat down for a fancy tea party with the kitties. It was one of her favorite parties ever.
So glad your little one got her special kitty back.
Cheers!
Rosie's return was certainly worth celebrating in style. What a lovely welcome home party for this beloved cat!
@ Jenny!! That's awesome!! Sounds almost identical to the pink kitty birthday party we're hosting here this weekend!! I'll post photos and details post party but we have beanie baby kitty adoptions, collars and check ups planned as well as games and crafts planned!
We'll have pink juice and pink cup cakes, I wasn't sure if the little ones could handle tea cups or not.
: )
pink and green mama,
MaryLea
