Tween Craft: Making Homemade Books With Kids (and an Artterro Kit Giveaway!)

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post.
My family received Artterro craft kits in exchange for this post. As always, all opinions are my own and truthful.

My super creative, crafty mama friends at Artterro are up to it again, they have improved
their beautiful eco art kits -- what a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day!
I can't say enough good things about Artterro Eco Art Kits, they are filled with gorgeous art materials that encourage open ended and creative projects. The art kits are very family friendly and make wonderful gifts for kids, especially (in my opinion) impossible to shop for Tweens!

Their motto: "Where Creativity Comes Naturally" is spot on.
Their Eco Art Kits inspires creativity and design skills in artists of all ages - my girls love them!

Kaleidograph - Paper Kaleidoscope Toy to Explore Geometry, Color, and Pattern in the Palm of Your Hand!

Sponsored Post: We received free products to write this review. As always, all opinions are my own and truthful.
The girls and I were recently sent some sets of Kaleidograph cards to play with
from our good friends at Red Hen Books and Toys.
This colorful, sophisticated, and simple "game" is so much fun for visual arts junkies like myself.
The girls loved it too, so pretty and no two designs are alike -- like a rainbow snowflake!

The Pigeon Needs a Bath Party! Crafts and Snacks to Celebrate the Newest Mo Willems Book #ThePigeonParty

Sponsored Post: This post was sponsored by Disney-Hyperion. I received compensation and products to write this post.
As always, all opinions are my own and truthful.

Ever since Mo Willems' book, "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" was first published 10 years ago, the Pigeon has become a beloved picture book character selling more than 4 million book copies in the series. This April 1, 2014, the 8th book in the series, "The Pigeon Needs a Bath!" was released, my girls and I were so excited because the Pigeon series is a favorite in our household - we also love Knuffle Bunny and Elephant and Piggie.

I was SO excited to be able to design a craft and host a
Pigeon party for my daughter's First Grade class to kick off the new book release!
Because I can't take photos of the students at school (to protect their privacy),
I documented our crafts, activities and snacks here to share with you in case you want to host your own Pigeon themed party.

Sarah's Silks Review and Giveaway -- Timeless Toys for Imaginative Play

Sponsored Post: This post was sponsored by Sarah's Silks.
My family received free products in exchange for this review. As always, all opinions are honest and my own.

My girls and I LOVE Sarah's Silks. We've had her silk scarves and silk scapes
in our playroom since my oldest daughter was a toddler. Now she's a tween and both of my girls,
and all of their friends STILL play with our silks every week. They are a classic and timeless imaginative play staple and you can't say that about a lot of things that have come and gone through our playroom over the years. These silk scarves and silk scapes have been used in our house for dress-up, party decor, room decor, fort building, small world play, slings, doll hammocks, halloween costumes, holiday decor, gift wrap, and more.

Tween Craft: Stained Glass Effect Easter Eggs with Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint

This year, we decided to get fancy with our (fake) Easter Egg decorating and we made our own stained-glass-effect Easter Eggs with markers and Tulip brand dimensional fabric paint. Note: This is not a sponsored post, I just really like to use Tulip brand dimensional fabric paint for 3-D and mixed media projects. It has been my go-to  "puffy" paint for this kind of stuff for years! I buy mine at Walmart but you can find it at any craft store in the t-shirt decorating and fabric paint area.
